Usually Sciatica will go away on its own with some time and some patience. Try continuing on with your normal routine as much as you can, while trying not to generate pain triggers like bending over to pick things up, or moving heavy things. While in pain, try some of these treatment options:
A cold ice pack, or just a packet of frozen peas, wrapped in a towel and put on the painful area for about 15-20 minutes should help lower the inflammation and give you some mild pain relief. Do this throughout the day.
A hot pack or regular hot baths can also help relax tight muscles that can be putting pressure on the sciatic nerve.
Ask your doctor, or search the internet to get back stretching exercises that help relieve sciatica. make sure you avoid rigorous or jerking movements. A regular exercise routine can help release endorphins that help reduce pain and also help you manage the pain. It might also help with stopping the recurrence of sciatica.
