Malacology
Malacology is the scientific study of molluscs. A malacologist identifies mollusc species, discovers and names new species of molluscs, studies mollusc ecosystems, and learns about the diets, reproductive behavior and intelligence of such animals as snails, clams, octopi, squid and conchs.
