Executive Office of the President of the United States

The Executive Office of the President consists of the immediate staff of the President of the United States. In contrast to the agencies of the Federal government such as the United States Department of State, all of the people within the EOP serve with the President and when there is a new President, the entire office is reconstituted. Since the time of Franklin Roosevelt, there has been a tendency for the power of the EOP to increase. Within the Executive Office of the President, there are a number of bodies * White House Chief of Staff * United States Office of Management and Budget * United States National Security Council * United States Trade Representative
